FULL ASSOCIATION MEMBERS
Full association members are only the legal entities of acknowledged professional and academic action, which are proven to be operating as professionals in conference tourism at the following sectors:
- As Professional Congress Organizers and more specifically the ones which fulfill all the following criteria:
- They operate legally and in an established manner, with a travel agency license in conference tourism as professional congress organizers for at least two years.
- They operate fully and individually in an office of at least 60 sq.m.
- They own specialized software, through which documents management, reservations, speakers abstracts and events can be processed.
- They own the essential electronic hardware: servers, PCs, printers that can support the corresponding programs for the conference organization and functions.
- The entity representative must have an extended experience in conference organized or must be proven to have organized at least ten conferences with 300 attendants each or more, during the three years prior to its subscription. Alternatively, the entity must employ a congress manager/director with the corresponding professional experience in a full-time position.
- It is required that the entity employs at least six people in full-time positions, one of which is required to have graduated from a Superior Academic Institute, two of which must have a Tourism degree. They are all obliged to master at least one foreign language (English, French or German).
- Their gross revenue must be proven to be at least 1,500,000€ for the last two years of operations.
- Their paid up capital must be at least 60,000€ and their legal form must be LTD or SA.
- The entities must not have declared bankruptcy or be in the process of declaring bankruptcy, it must not be in liquidation, in special administration or any other corresponding procedure.
- The authorized company representatives must have not been irrevocably convicted for the criminal offences of theft, fraud, extortion, misappropriation, forgery, corruption, money laundering, trafficking, fraudulent bankruptcy, drugs use or trading, offences against chastity or violation or the law of the national currency protection.
- They have a quality assurance certificate (ISO) from an accredited certification body or they are obliged to obtain one within two years.
2) As Audiovisual Media companies, which keep their right to choose between full and associate membership, upon subscription.

Associate Association Members
Associate association members are only the legal entities of acknowledged professional and academic action, which are proven to be operating in some cases and in occasionally, as professionals in conference tourism at the following sectors:
- Hotels of any category
- Translation and interpretation companies
- Food services companies
- Exhibition stands design and construction companies / Projection systems & material distribution companies/ Logistics companies
- Electrical equipment rental companies for exhibition & conference spaces
- Publishing houses
- Corporate consulting companies
- Software companies / E-services companies
- Public relations companies/Advertising companies
- Airlines
- Car rental companies / VIP transfer companies
- Cruise companies
- Universities – Public or private academic institutions
- Cultural centers and leisure facilities
- Art /music/ photography services companies etc.
- Corporate gifts companies
- Insurance companies
- Banks
- Services companies or commercial companies in general, which directly or indirectly contribute to conference organization and conduct.
All full and associated members are granted the right to vote, as long as their financial obligations to the association are fully paid out.
Only full members have the right to stand for election.
