During a very crucial period for the global economy and the Meetings Industry, AFEA continued to “invest” in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development actions, as they are an integral part of the company's operations.
For the past 5 years AFEA has developed a strategy applied both in the daily operation of the company and in the services provided, such as the organization of conferences and corporate events. During the pandemic and the lock down, AFEA Management continued to implement actions related directly to these areas and in direct cooperation with the team, proceeded with the following:
- Certification for the provision of services and measures against Covid 19
- Active participation in collective actions of private and public bodies for the promotion of the destination of Greece, such as The Greek Meetings Industry - WebForum Series by HAPCO, ACVB and TCB.
- Provision of Industry knowledge and education to the younger generation through Mentorship actions, i.e. European Cities Marketing Mentoring Program, Metropolitan College of Greece Mentoring Program etc.
- Team training in new technologies, i.e. webinar/ virtual meetings platforms, booking platforms, procedures etc.
- Participation at virtual sessions focused on Business Development, Well Being and Mindfulness.
- Promotion of junior executives of AFEA and award by the international organization IAPCO
- Team support actions through social media campaigns, i.e. “AFEA Celebrates women”, “Our People say” etc.
- Design and promotion of Luxury Travel Packages in Greece, based on the country’s Sustainable Destinations and services.
